What to expect at Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween, the busiest season in Universal Studios Hollywood, is ready to scare your wits out with eight haunted mazes, a terror tram, four scare zones, and two exciting live shows.

Each maze and scare zone is themed around iconic horror movies, TV shows, and popular franchises.

Horror classics like “The Exorcist,” The Haunting of Hill House,” and “Halloween” have been featured in the past.

The park’s ghastly makeover is itself a horrid scare for the weak at heart.

So, don’t let your guard down even when you’re moving from one attraction to another.

Scare actors in horrifying costumes will be lurking around the corner to terrify you.

You’ll be forced to face your worst fears and horrible nightmares during this event.

Some of the regular attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood, like Jurassic World and Revenge of the Mummy, also incorporate some eerie twists to their rides.

Altogether, Southern California’s scariest event is all set to send shivers down your spine.

Since it is hugely popular among horror fans and often sells out, especially closer to Halloween, we recommend you book your tickets online in advance.

Here are some rides that’ll remain open during the Halloween Horror Nights event: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Jurassic World—The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy Ride, Transformers: The Ride 3-D, The Simpsons Ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Haunted houses of 2025

As of now, only two haunted houses, “Fallout” and “Jason Universe,” have been announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2025, but get ready, because there will be eight haunted houses in total this year! Keep an eye out for more reveals coming soon.

Fallout: Vault 33 exposed

Inspired by the acclaimed Fallout series, this new haunted house drops you straight into the irradiated ruins of Los Angeles. You’ll descend into the eerie halls of Vault 33, where the illusion of safety quickly turns into chaos. Alongside Lucy, you’ll dodge bloodthirsty raiders and mutated horrors lurking in the dark.

Your journey won’t stop underground—you’ll escape into the Wasteland, only to be hunted by the relentless bounty hunter, The Ghoul. And when you think you’ve survived, Maximus and the armored force of the Brotherhood of Steel await, clad in towering T-60 power armor.

This isn’t just a haunted house—it’s a radioactive descent into madness. And trust us… Nothing in the Wasteland is ever truly dead.

Jason Universe: Evil Doesn’t Stay Dead

Step into the nightmare and come face to face with the iconic horror legend—Jason Voorhees. You’ll run for your life through the shadowy woods and into his eerie shack, the heart of his twisted world. Wander through the summer camp where the bloody legend was born. But don’t expect to get out easily—Jason doesn’t speak, doesn’t stop, and definitely doesn’t forgive.

This isn’t just a haunted house—it’s a brutal chase through a place where evil never dies. And remember… Jason is back, and this time, nothing can save you.

The Terrifier Isn’t Clowning Around

The Terrifier haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights plunges you into a nightmarish encounter with Art the Clown, the murderous star of the horror franchise.

This chilling walk-through experience is “literally dripping with terror and gore,” making you more than just a spectator—you become prey to one of modern horror’s most sadistic icons.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Survive the Night Shift

The haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights throws you into the heart-pounding world of the 2023 film.

Step into Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, where life-sized animatronics by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop bring Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Cupcake to terrifying life. As you follow in Mike’s footsteps on his night shift, survival becomes your only goal.

WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks

This haunted house merges the eerie world of wrestling with horror as you face the twisted legacy of the late Bray Wyatt.

Inside, the haunting presence of The Fiend lurks in the shadows, summoning guests to “let him in.” It’s a disturbing descent into the psyche of one of WWE’s most sinister creations.

Scarecrow: Music by SLASH

This experience blends killer visuals with a haunting soundtrack by rock legend Slash, created exclusively for Halloween Horror Nights.

As vengeful scarecrows rise from farmland soil, Mother Nature’s wrath becomes terrifyingly real. A themed bar and limited-edition merch make it a fully immersive horror experience.

Monstruos 3: The Ghosts of Latin America

This Hollywood-exclusive haunted house brings terrifying legends of Latin American folklore to life.

Enter the Cemetery of the Lost and meet spirits like La Llorona, La Muelona, and La Siguanaba, as Muerte and his ghastly pet return to guide you through supernatural horrors rooted in centuries-old myths.

Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse

As the name suggests, you’ll be exposed to several characters from the Blumhouse Productions.

You’ll run into the creepy, murderous android M3GAN, the terrifying Grabber from “The Black Phone,” and more characters from “Happy Death Day” and “Freaky,” waiting to scare you senseless.

With other Blumhouse horrors also waiting to strike, this year’s Terror Tram guarantees a journey packed with screams, scares, and unforgettable terror.

4 Scare Zones

At Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights 2025, four sinister scare zones keep you on your toes.

The scary characters include wrestlers, crows, punks, and royalty. Can you believe it?

With the four new scare zones for this year yet to be revealed, here’s a look back at the scare zones from last year’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Luchadores Monstruosos

Inspired by the Mexican Lucha Libre horror film, this zone forms a peculiar way of nerve-wracking visitors.

Here, you’ll find two luchadores battling with petrifying masked monsters that’ll take you straight to a Mexican wrestling match.

The theatrics of Lucha Libre add to the profound dismay of its audience.

Murder of Crowz

You’ve now stepped into a massive crow’s nest, and these birds aren’t exactly friendly.

They treat you like strangers coming to destroy their nest, and in order to save their home, they have to defend it by pecking at any sense of insecurity.

These crows are hungry, and their sharp beaks and beady eyes follow your every move, ready to peck you to the bone.

Now you know why a group of crows is called a murder of crows!

Chainsaw Punkz

In this zone, chainsaw-wielding punk rockers are ready to rev up chaos the second you step inside.

Let’s be warned that these men with leather jackets, spiked mohawks, and fearsome masks are more than just rebels—they’re hunters.

As the chainsaws roar to life, they’ll close in on you to cut you in half.

This creates a fearsome environment that will keep your adrenaline pumping all night.

Skull Lordz

This ominous kingdom of the undead is where demonic kings and queens rule.

As you enter, you’ll feel like you’ll get a royal embrace. But the reality is much darker.

You’ll see their kingdom in shadows and feel the weight of their presence.

The Skull Lordz have intimidating skeletal faces adorned with crowns and cloaked in dark, tattered robes.

One can only hope that you come back alive.
