Each maze and scare zone is themed around iconic horror movies, TV shows, and popular franchises.

Horror classics like “The Exorcist,” The Haunting of Hill House,” and “Halloween” have been featured in the past.

The park’s ghastly makeover is itself a horrid scare for the weak at heart.

So, don’t let your guard down even when you’re moving from one attraction to another.

Scare actors in horrifying costumes will be lurking around the corner to terrify you.

Some of the regular attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood, like Jurassic World and Revenge of the Mummy, also incorporate some eerie twists to their rides.

Haunted houses

There are eight haunted houses that are ghastly transformed into a Halloween nightmare.

The haunted mazes are “Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” “A Quiet Place,” “The Weeknd,” “Dead Exposure,” “Ghostbusters,” “Monstrous 2,” “Insidious,” and “Universal Monsters.”

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface

This 1974 classic is still a macabre experience for many.

As you relive the film and wander through its grotesque halls, you’ll come face-to-face with Leatherface, one of the most terrifying villains in movie history.

In this maze, you’ll be stalked by Leatherface, yielding his chainsaw and wearing a mask made from the skin of his victims.

You’ll run through its halls with rotting carcasses hanging from the ceiling, trapped in claustrophobic spaces, desperately trying to escape from him.

A Quiet Place

Silence is the only scope for your survival in this maze.

Watch out for lurking monsters and alarming creatures that’ll detect even the faintest noise.

So, tread quietly from the farmhouse to the woods with pin-drop silence, or else you’ll be captured by some predators.

Fact check:  “A Quiet Place” is the first horror movie to incorporate American Sign Language (ASL) into a Halloween haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy

Enter this twisted world of The Weeknd, where you’ll journey through the three nightmare scenarios reflecting from The Weeknd’s mind.

As you walk through each section, the pulsating beats of his music heighten the terror.

You’ll encounter surreal horror elements, jump scares, and psychological suspense that’ll (maybe) scar you for life.

Dead Exposure: Death Valley

In this maze, there are high chances of meeting mutants that are deadlier than any zombie you’ve seen before.

You’ll find yourself in a top-secret government facility where an experiment to create super soldiers has gone horribly wrong.

Their test subjects have turned into radioactive zombies who break free just as you arrive.

You’ll pass through disorienting darkness, abandoned labs, destroyed control rooms, and quarantined areas.

You’ll confront spine-chilling mutants glowing with radiation, and with every step you take, there’s only one pending question—will you make it out alive?

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Based on an American supernatural comedy, this maze will surely give you spine-tingling silence and moments of intense horror.

On Garraka’s mission to destroy humankind and freeze the world, this phantom God grapples with you and your team while you’re trying to escape from his death trap.

Garraka has broken free from an ancient artifact, and God did he come alone! No, he has brought with him an army of vengeful ghosts.

So, good luck to you to escape free from those icy corridors and his cold grip.

Monstrous 2: The Nightmares of Latin America

Are you interested in legendary Latin American myths? Then, you’ll definitely enjoy this haunted maze at the Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights 2024.

Born as a sequel to Monstrous 1 featuring Tlahuelpuchi and La Lechuza, this year, you’ll confront El Charro, El Cadejo, and El Cucuy.

As you cross the graveyard of monsters from mythology, you’ll realize that every shadow hides a new horror.

El Charro, the ghostly rider, roams around the place in search of souls, while El Cadejo, the devilish dog, makes you scream your way out. The terror is not over until you see El Cucuy creeping in to give you chills.

Insidious: The Further

Remember the infamous Red Door from the Insidious movie series?

It’s been replicated here to transport you directly to the world, where the Red-Faced Demon awaits.

Not just that, KeyFace is also ready to snatch your soul and lock it away forever.

This will unquestionably be a bone-chilling experience for fans, making you wonder if you’ll ever escape The Further.

Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines

Experience a true Studio Backlot tour where you’ll relive the originally filmed movies like Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931), and Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

This haunted house takes you all the way back to the 1900s and showcases some fearless female icons.

Here, Saskia Van Helsing teams up with the Bride of Frankenstein to take on Dracula’s daughter and her monstrous crew.

About the eerie music you will hear inside—It’s by none other than Slash, adding a more intense feeling.

Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse

As the name suggests, you’ll be exposed to several characters from the Blumhouse Productions.

You’ll run into the creepy, murderous android M3GAN, the terrifying Grabber from “The Black Phone,” and more characters from “Happy Death Day” and “Freaky,” waiting to scare you senseless.

With other Blumhouse horrors also waiting to strike, this year’s Terror Tram guarantees a journey packed with screams, scares, and unforgettable terror.

4 Scare Zones

At Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights 2024, four sinister scare zones keep you on your toes.

The scary characters include wrestlers, crows, punks, and royalty. Can you believe it?

Luchadores Monstruosos

Inspired by the Mexican Lucha Libre horror film, this zone forms a peculiar way of nerve-wracking visitors.

Here, you’ll find two luchadores battling with petrifying masked monsters that’ll take you straight to a Mexican wrestling match.

The theatrics of Lucha Libre add to the profound dismay of its audience.

Murder of Crowz

You’ve now stepped into a massive crow’s nest, and these birds aren’t exactly friendly.

They treat you like strangers coming to destroy their nest, and in order to save their home, they have to defend it by pecking at any sense of insecurity.

These crows are hungry, and their sharp beaks and beady eyes follow your every move, ready to peck you to the bone.

Now you know why a group of crows is called a murder of crows!

Chainsaw Punkz

In this zone, chainsaw-wielding punk rockers are ready to rev up chaos the second you step inside.

Let’s be warned that these men with leather jackets, spiked mohawks, and fearsome masks are more than just rebels—they’re hunters.

As the chainsaws roar to life, they’ll close in on you to cut you in half.

This creates a fearsome environment that will keep your adrenaline pumping all night.

Skull Lordz

This ominous kingdom of the undead is where demonic kings and queens rule.

As you enter, you’ll feel like you’ll get a royal embrace. But the reality is much darker.

You’ll see their kingdom in shadows and feel the weight of their presence.

The Skull Lordz have intimidating skeletal faces adorned with crowns and cloaked in dark, tattered robes.

One can only hope that you come back alive.
