By metro

Reaching Universal Studios Hollywood by Metro is easy and convenient. 

You can board the Metro Red Line train from Downtown LA or Hollywood. 

This line directly routes to the Universal City/Studio City station, which is the nearest subway stop, within six minutes. 

Trains run every 10 to 15 minutes, making it a reliable option.

It is an 800-meter (half-a-mile) uphill walk from the station to the park’s entrance. 

If you are willing to walk up the hill, you can reach the park this way. However, it is not suitable for older adults or small children.

Universal Studios offers a complimentary shuttle service for those who prefer not to walk. 

The shuttle departs directly across the street from the metro station and takes you straight to the park’s front gate. 

Shuttles also run every 10 to 15 minutes, starting at 7 am and continuing for two hours after the park closes for the day. 

During the holiday season, you can find special shuttles with extended operating hours to accommodate the increased number of visitors.

By bus

Several Metro bus lines, including Line 222, 224, and 240, stop near the Universal City/Studio City station. 

Line 222 – Start from Sun Valley, CA, and get down at Universal City/Studio City station for a 31-minute journey.

Line 224 – Journey from Olive View Medical Center to Lankershim/Valleyheart bus station, which takes more than an hour.

Line 240 – Travel to Universal City/Studio City station from Studio City, CA, within 8 minutes.

Once you arrive at these stations, you can take the free shuttle bus to the park entrance without any uphill walking.

By car
